On Monday the electricity minister, doctor BD Kalla was called to the assembly and was told to do the proceedings of removing the electricity lines that are passing above the school campuses in Barmer district’s Siwan assembly area in three months.
Doctor Kala was giving his answer related to the removal of electricity lines passing above the Public places and schools, grounds Buildings religious and religious spaces on behalf of MLA Mr hamir Singh.
He told that under the feeder improvement program many works like changing the old crooked poles, improving electricity lines, And installing a new transformer in heavy electricity marked areas has been done. Under the feeder improvement program expenses of about 18.92 crores in Jaipur discom, 17.47 crore in Ajmer, and 91.55 crores in jodhpur discom were made in the financial year 2019 – 2020. He presented the house with a sub-divisional description of the expenses made in the financial year 2019- 20 and the tasks done under the program in the Barmer district.
The electricity minister told that according to the electricity act determining the protection parameters, the electricity lines should be established at a fixed height and distance from the residential houses. However, after the electricity lines are drawn over time a lot of construction is done near and under the electricity lines by the public. Although to transfer the electricity lines elsewhere the proceedings have to be done under the corporation provisions. According to the provisions discom e shifting of the electricity lines that are harmful for human life and property can be made by filing an application by a person or institute In the corporation. To make these proceedings 50% of the costs is deposited by the applicant and right of way and the remaining 50% is afforded by the corporation. He told that the cost of shifting the lines passing above the government schools is entirely afforded by the corporation after a related person request it.
Dr Kalla told that an electricity campaign was started by the Jaipur disom on 16th May to 15th June 2016 for the shifting of electricity lines that are passing by government buildings, hospitals, public places, and government schools and are harmful for human life and property. Under this, the electricity lines passing by 29 government school campuses were shifted at the expense of the corporation in Siwana assembly area.
He told that electricity lines are passing by 12 school campuses at present in the Siwana assembly area. The making of their Takmina is under process. After the takmina is made the shifting of the electricity lines will be done in the upcoming three months to a safer place.
