Jaipur, 6 September. The awareness among the public about the house-to-house drug scheme launched by the Chief Minister is increasing. As a result of this, under the scheme, in the last one month, two and a half lakh families across the state have been sent door-to-door medicine plants.

Mr. Munish Kumar Garg said that till September 6, 22 lakh 52 thousand 593 kits have been given all over the state under the scheme.

For the evaluation and management of the scheme, the committee constituted under the leadership of Mr. Garg is regularly collecting information about medicinal plants. Following that they are being distributed across the state from the officials of the forest department.

Shreya Guha, Principal Secretary, Forest Department, said that under the Ghar-Ghar Aushadhi Yojana, which started from August 1, medicinal plants have been supplied to twenty-two and a half lakh families across the state. Under the scheme, plants of Tulsi, Giloy, Ashwagandha and Kalmegh are being given to the general public. She said that in the first year the target is to reach half the families of the state with medicinal plants. Medicinal plants will be provided to the remaining families in the coming financial year. The scheme will be effective in the state for the next 5 years.

Mrs. Guha said that the general public is looking forward  to this scheme. They are reaching all over the state to get free medicinal plants available under the door-to-door Aushadhi scheme. While Adopting innovations, medicines are being delivered to the homes of the people by the officers of the Forest Department in all the districts of the state.

Forest-force chief Dr. Deep Narayan Pandey informed that along with the forest department, other departments are also giving remarkable cooperation in the task of transporting medicinal plants. The task force constituted under the chairmanship of the District Collector is responsible for the distribution of medicinal plants in the districts. They have helped in the spread of awareness about the scheme among the general public.

He told that the plants of all the four medicinal species are full of different properties. With the advice of Ayurveda department and Vaidya, the general public can increase their immunity by using medicinal plants. The first phase of the scheme is being completed in September while the second phase will be started in the month of October.

He told that in view of corona infection, the use of medicinal plants done with the advice of Vaidya can prove to be better. Keeping in view these qualities of medicinal plants and with the aim of taking the tradition of conservation of medicinal plants from door to door, the Chief Minister has started this scheme, which will have far-reaching results for the common man.
