On 11 September in Jaipur Third National Lok Adalat was organized in Rajasthan High court, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and in all the subordinate state courts by online and offline method. In National Lok Adalat there are total 81 thousand 110 cases, where 27091 are in the prelitigation stage and 54019 are pending. These were resolved in the feeling of resignation and were given award money of 558 crores.
Justice Mrs. Sabina, Judge, Rajasthan High court and President, Rajasthan Legal service Committee, Jaipur, and Jodhpur Judge Sandeep Mehta inaugurated the National High Court at 10 am.
Shri Sangeet Lodha, executive chairman, and administrative judge, Rajasthan high court, Rajasthan high court instructed that section 138 negotiable deed act, money collection cases, labor and employment-related cases, cases relating to electricity, water, and other bill payments, maintenance-related cases, and other (criminal compoundable and other civil cases) were placed in this national Lok Adalat under pre-litigation cases.
Cases related to criminal compoundable cases, criminal minor nature, section 138 negotiable deed act, money recovery, motor vehicle accident tribunal cases, cases relating to electricity, water, and other bill payments, matrimonial disputes, land acquisition cases, service cases relating to wage allowances and pension allowances, revenue cases, and other civil cases were put in the pending cases in different courts. Cheque dishonor cases in Lok Adalat in which the cheque amount is less than 2 lakh rupees were given importance. Whereas pre-counseling cases were taken before the Lok Adalat.
Shri Rajendra Jain Member Secretary of Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority said that Lok Adalat are done in online as well as online-only in subordinate courts. But for the first time offline and online National Lok Adalats were also done in Rajasthan High Court, while disposal of 10 cases was done in video conferencing, the resignation was disposed of by an online resignation by the Lok Adalat under the leadership of Shri Vijay Vyas, Shri J.K. Ranka. By connecting the parties residing in remote areas, these were constituted in the membership of Dr. Padma Kumar Jain and Ms. Chandrakanta Gupta, retired district and sessions judge.
He said that 311 cases were disposed in Rajasthan High Court jodhpur main bench and Rs.3.99 lakh 46 thousand 803 as the award was passed. Total 349 cases were disposed of in Jodhpur bench and Rs. 3.23 lakh 57 thousand 168 was passed as the award. National Lok Adalat was done in letter and following the guidelines of the state government for covid-19.
Shri. Jain said that for the success of National Lok Adalat, justice Shri Sangeet Lodha had a personal meeting with judicial officers, chief secretary, finance secretary, principal law secretary to the insurance company, bank officers, representatives of various departments to place resignation cases in the national Lok Adalat so that the cheaper, accessible and speedy justice can be given to common man and to build strong confidence in common man about Lok Adalat system.
