Jaipur, 2 September. Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Shri Ashok Chandna has said that a fresh survey will be conducted to assess the crop failure in the district. Every farmer, every field will be included in the survey so that no farmer affected by crop failure is deprived of compensation.
Minister of State Shri Chandna gave instructions in this regard in a meeting held in Bundi on Thursday. He said that survey work should be done with sensitivity and a report should be given by the end of the month. He said that due to heavy rains and floods in the past few days, there has been a lot of damage to the crops of the farmers as well as the crops sown in different areas got burnt due to lack of rain and strong sunlight. In these situations, the actual damage can be estimated only from the current survey.
He directed that this special survey should be done in mission mode and for this special camps should be organized in all the five Panchayat Samitis. Representatives of district administration, agriculture department and crop insurance company should be present in the survey. He said that the said special survey is being conducted as per the instructions of the Chief Minister. The farmers who are insured should be given quick benefits by the insurance company and the farmers who are not insured will be given compensation by the state government.
District Collector Shri Ashish Gupta gave information about the crop damage caused by heavy rains and floods in the district in the last few days. He said that one lakh 15 thousand hectare area has been affected in the district, out of which 53 thousand hectare area is more affected. On this basis, proposals for compensation have been sent.
District Chief Smt. Chandravati Kanwar, District Collector Ashish Gupta, Superintendent of Police Shivraj Meena, Additional Collector AU Khan, all sub-divisional officers, agriculture and concerned departmental officers were also present in the meeting.
Efforts for bus stand development
The Minister of State for Sports said that a plan is being made for the development of the bus stand. It is ready to be approved in the upcoming budget. About the drain coming out of Jaitsagar and the problem of waterlogging in the city due to it, he said that after studying this problem thoroughly, a plan would be made in such a way that the water would drain in a planned manner and the situation of water logging would not come.
Village-village participation in Rural Olympics
The Minister of State for Sports said that Rural Olympics is being started in the state in which children from every revenue village will participate in various sports. In this way, 25 to 30 lakh children will participate in sports events. “Fit Rajasthan, Hit Rajasthan” mission will strengthen the health of the children of the state, the state will be strong.
