Jaipur, 4 September. Minister of State for Labor, Factory and Boilers Inspection Department (Independent Charge), Cooperation and Indira Gandhi Canal Project Department Shri Tikaram Julie said that the State Government has taken positive decisions to strengthen the cooperatives keeping the interests of farmers as the focus.
The Minister of State for Labor, Shri Julie, on Saturday visited The Alwar Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd. at the warehouse complex near Moti Dungri in Alwar. He Inaugurated the evening branch by cutting the lace. During this, he said that the government believes that the farmer can be strengthened by strengthening the cooperative to the farmer. In this direction, the state government in its first decision has waived off agricultural loans of about Rs 16,000 crore.
This has brought great relief to lakhs of farmers. He said that for the first time, 10 lakh new farmers are being given loans through co-operatives by the state government. He said that small farmers are being provided agricultural equipment like tractors etc. on rent at the lowest rate through the Customer Hiring Center.
The Labor Minister directed the officers of the cooperative to give wide publicity to the Raj Sahakar Personal Accident Insurance and Sahakar Jeevan Suraksha Bima. He said that two thousand new societies are being formed in the state by the state government, which will greatly benefit the farmers.
He said that the branch of Cooperative Bank at Malakheda in Alwar rural area would be started this financial year. During this, he gave checks of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of two persons under Raj Sahakar Person Accident Insurance and Rs 34 thousand 500 each to 5 persons under Co-operative Security Insurance and 4 groups under Self Help Group Loan Distribution Scheme. He distributed checks for a total loan of Rs.8 lakh.
