Transport Minister wrote a letter to the Minister of Road Transport and Highways
Jaipur, 7 September. Transport Minister Shri Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has written a letter to Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari. It is regarding the repair of the dilapidated condition of National Highways. Shri Khachariyawas informed that Jaipur-Delhi National Highway is the busiest highway in the country. Accidents are happening day by day due to a lack of repairs and the possibilities are also being created continuously.
Mr Khachariyawas informed that on one hand, the toll tax is increasing. On the other hand, the national highways are getting dilapidated due to lack of repairs. He said that recently the toll tax amount was increased on Shahjahanpur, Manoharpur and Daulatpura tolls on Jaipur-Delhi National Highway, but proper repair of the highway is not being done by the service provider company.
Due to this, the people of the state are facing a lot of trouble. The state government is receiving complaints about the possibility of accidents due to dilapidated conditions.
Shri Khachariyawas has urged the Road Transport and Highways Minister to speed up the repair work of National Highways located in the state, check unnecessary toll hikes and take strict action against negligent service providers. He said that if the repair is done as soon as possible, time would be saved in the traffic, as well as there would be no accidents.
