JC Mahanti represented India in the World Scout Conference, determined the role of the Scout movement for world peace and prosperity:
International Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides
Jaipur, August 30. Shri JC Mahanti participated in the summit meeting of the 42nd World Scout Conference from 25 to August 29, 2021. He acted as International Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides. 172 countries participated in this conference. It was a 5-day conference. There was a detailed discussion on making the organization’s work more effective for world peace and prosperity.
International Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides Shri JC Mahanti, 20 officials, and youth representatives of the country attended the National Headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides in New Delhi. They represented the nation in the World Scout Conference to predict the future of the World Scout Movement.
He put his ideas on the global stage to provide direction and played an important role in making an action plan for the implementation of the ideas and measures suggested by the world community.
Shri Mahanti said that in the conference organized on the theme “Bridging the World,” it was resolved to face Covid-19 with unity and determination. Various issues were discussed under SDG. The resolution was taken to solve the problems related to poverty, health for all, right to education, pure drinking water, environment, biodiversity, women empowerment, and world peace.
Shri Mahanti said that an action plan would be prepared for the achievement of these resolutions by the Rajasthan Scout Guide. In this, continuous efforts would be made to organize and activate the youth at the village, district, divisional, and state levels. Priority will be given to these subjects in the implementation of Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi.
The 42nd World Scout Conference is the largest ever in the 100-year history of the Scout movement. It provided a platform for 3,500 participants from around the world to take an active role in shaping the standards, policies, and common goals of the Scout movement.
