In the year 2022, new medical colleges will start in Sriganganagar, Chittorgarh, and Dholpur
Jaipur, 10 September. More than 300 MBBS seats may increase in Rajasthan from the next session. Vaibhav Galaria informed that the construction work of three new Government Medical Colleges in Sri Ganganagar, Chittorgarh, and Dholpur is in progress. Mr. Galaria informed that efforts are being made to start the MBBS course in these three medical colleges from the next session. In this regard, it was discussed in detail in a virtual meeting held at Medical Education Building on Friday.
Shri Ganganagar MLA Shri Rajkumar Gaur also participated in this meeting organized under the chairmanship of the Medical Education Secretary. Shri Gaur said that the medical facilities available to the general public would increase with the construction of new government medical colleges.
Medical Education Commissioner Mrs. Shivangi Swarnakar said that before starting the new medical college, inspection is done by the team of the National Medical Commission. It is the efforts of the Medical Education Department that the inspection work should be completed by the team of the Commission by April next year so that a possible new session can start from May.
It may be mentioned that the work of setting up new Government Medical Colleges in 16 districts of the State is in progress. At present, there are 2 thousand 830 MBBS seats in government medical colleges.
In this meeting held at the Medical Education Building, along with the officers of the Medical Education Department, Principals of various medical colleges, PMO, and RSRDC officials also participated.
