Jaipur: Rapist of a minor girl has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and Rs 20,000 fine. The guilty, Pawan, who was a jeep driver had raped the girl, who had come to Dungarpur to sell vegetables in on May 24, 2019.
Judge MR Suthar of POCSO court pronounced the judgment.
Special public prosecutor Yogesh Kumar Joshi. On May 24, 2019, the complainant, a resident of the Varda area, had filed a complaint in Kotwali Police station, stating that he and his wife had gone to attend a wedding and their 13-year-old daughter had come to Dungarpur to sell vegetables at 8:30 AM.
In the evening, the victim called them complaining of vertigo and vomiting. She said that she was sitting near the ATM of the new bus stand. The parents went to the location and saw that her clothes were soaked in blood. She was admitted to the hospital.
The victim informed her that the guilty had raped her on the rear seat of the jeep and had thereafter left her at the bus stand. She had become unconscious after that. She was in hospital for about 6 days.
