Jaipur, 4 September. Shri Alok Gupta inspected the modular container under the Wildlife Surveillance and Pouching System located in the Sariska area today.
Shri Gupta inspected the modular container located in the Sariska area of the Department for the protection of Tiger and Leopard and for the prevention of hunting and other illegal activities in the wild areas. He learned about the number of towers and cameras installed under the project and the working system of the cameras.
He inspected the following. How much forest area has been covered by cameras in the Sariska area, how much help has been received from the project in the prevention of illegal activities in the forest area and on receiving information about any kind of illegal activities and injuries to animals by the cameras. The concerned officer and employee of the Forest Department were informed about the information taken.
He also checked the day and night footage of the cameras installed there. He inquired about the towers and cameras to be installed in the Sariska area in future. Shri Virendra Tyagi, Joint Director, Information Technology and Communication Department, Alwar was present during the inspection.
