When Sudhir Chaudhary, a journalist, asked a question regarding the price of tomatoes, Smriti Irani became visibly irate and sharply rebuked him.
As Aaj Tak anchor Sudhir Chaudhary posed a question to Union Minister Smriti Irani about tomatoes, Irani retorted by reminding him of his time in Tihar Jail.
Sudhir Chaudhary, who was conducting an interview with Smriti Irani, inadvertently asked a question about the rising cost of tomatoes. Smriti Irani became annoyed and responded, “I could also ask you, what happened when you were in jail?”
