Rajasthan state road transport service (ticketless travel prevention) (amendment) bill, 2021 passed by voice vote 10 times or Rs. 2000 fine for traveling without ticket – transport minister
Jaipur, September 15. On Wednesday the state assembly passed the Rajasthan state road transport services (prevention of ticketless travel) (amendment) bill, 2021 by voice vote. After the passage of the bill, the fare amount, as well as the 10 times of fare amount or 2000rs of fine, will be collected.
Shri Pratap Singh Khachariawas introduced the bill in the house. Replying to a discussion in the house on the bill, he said the bill will curb ticketless passengers in Rajasthan state road transport corporation buses.
He said the main aim of government is to curb corruption. It is the responsibility of every government to try to curb corruption.
He said that for the first time, the present government strengthened bus operations by purchasing 900 new buses at a time. They are now preparing to buy 500 new buses, while the last government had prepared to close down Rajasthan roadways.
He said that the present welfare government has not increased the fare of roadways buses by a single rupee. Candidates appearing for competitive examinations by roadways buses will now get free travel. The present government has rescued thousands of people on foot in the corona period by roadways buses.
