Jaipur, 16th September. Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Mr. Lalchand Kataria welcomed Shri Devendra Jhajharia, who won the silver medal in the Tokyo Paralympics, and Shri Arjunlal Jat, who played in the semifinals of Olympics at Jain Nikunj, Sirsi Road here on Thursday.
Mr Kataria honored both players by making them wear garlands and safa as per the Rajasthani tradition. He said that both the players have made the country and the state proud in the world. He said that Mr. Jhajharia has done the extraordinary work of winning 2 gold and a silver medal in the javelin throw at the Paralympics. Along with this, Shri Arjunlal Jat made it to the semi-final round in the Olympics in sailing on his own strength, hard work, and dedication despite all the adverse situations. He said taking inspiration from both of your hard work and struggle children of villages and backward areas will also be able to progress in sports.
Mr. Kataria said that in the leadership of chief minister Mr. Ashok Ghalot the state government is making great efforts for making progress in sports and players. For the first time in the state, hundreds of players have been provided security for their future careers by providing ‘out-of-turn government jobs along with organizing rural sports and making better training arrangements for the players.
Vice president of Rajasthan Olympic federation Mr. Anil Vyas and nodal officer of agricultural universities Dr. Omprakaash Garhwal were present on this occasion.
