Barmer: The district administration went into a tizzy with information on the death of 53 cows in Guru Manchh gaushala, Siwana.
The unfortunate deaths started after the bovine were fed with fresh green feed in the afternoon. Everybody at the gaushala was shocked with 53 cows dying in two hours.
Tehsildar Shankarram Garg reached the spot to take a note of the situation since the post of the veterinary doctor is lying vacant, SDM Kusumlata Chohan asked nearby veterinarians to help.
Doctors diagnosed food poisoning as the cause of the deaths. the post-mortem report arrives.
The gaushala is operated under Abhaydham Bhimgauda Mahant Gopalram who was extremely sad on the news.
It is noteworthy that four days ago 27 cows died in a similar incident in Sarnu village on Barmer-Sindhari road. Even the cause of the Siranu deaths is yet to be ascertained.
