Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has decided to give relief in bar license fees to the licensees of Hotel and Restaurant Bar in view of the circumstances arising out of Covid-19 pandemic.
He has accepted the proposal of the Finance Department in this context, and has approved the format for the notification.
According to the proposal, the hotel-restaurant industry has been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown.
Due to this, hotel and restaurant bar licensees have already been allowed to deposit license fees in two installments for the financial year 2020-21.
Now, the second installment of bar license fee is allowed to be deposited by December 31, 2020 without any additional fee or penalty.
Additionally, for the financial year 2020-21, all hotels, clubs and restaurant bar licenses renewed by September 30, 2020 will be given a 25 per cent discount in annual license fees, which will be adjusted in financial year of 2021-22.
50 percent discount on annual fees for bar licenses will be given in cases of non-renewal of bar licenses and applications for new bars by September 30, 2020.
