Centre will connect states with PFMS portal for the success of beti bachao beti padhao scheme – minister of state for women and child development

Jaipur, September 17. Srimati Mamata Bhupesh, minister of state for women and child development said that for the success of beti bachao beti padhao scheme, we need to connect states with the PFMS portal so that the central government funds under the scheme can be spent in the right place. She said that every district gets rs.50 lakhs from the center for publicity that will be spent on a fixed item but is unsupervised due to the non-linking of states with the PFMS portal. She said a proposal has been sent to the central government to include it in the portal.

Shrimati Bhupesh was replying to supplementary by the MLAs in the question hour. She told that under this scheme the second installment is released only after spending the first installment which is of 25 lakhs and this amount comes in different months in different years. She said that proposals have been sent to the central government from time to time in this regard, which also proposes that girls doing well in education can also be given the advantage of a scheme like a laptop or direct cash.

In a written reply to the question of MLA Mrs. Safia Zubair, Mrs. Bhupesh said that under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, Rs 17 lakh 41 thousand 142 for Alwar district by the central government in the year 2016-17, 32 in the year 2017-18. 23 lakh rupees, 24 lakh rupees in the year 2018-19, 24 lakh 50 thousand rupees in the year 2019-20, 25 lakh rupees were spent in the year 2020-21.

She said that placing of funds is done according to the BBBP guidelines of the Government of India. She gave the details of this on the Table of the House. She said that a total amount of Rs 24 lakh was received for Alwar district in the year 2018-19, out of which Rs 4 lakh 15 thousand 878 was spent, in the year 2019-20 an amount of Rs 24 lakh 50 thousand was received out of which 14 lakhs. 73 thousand 364 rupees were spent whereas in the year 2020-21 out of 25 lakh rupees 12 lakh 17 thousand 178 rupees were spent. Smt. Bhupesh said that out of the amount given, the amount remaining after expenditure remains deposited in the bank account. Hence the amount has not been lost and no officer is guilty.
