Central road transportation and highway minister Mr Nitin Gadkari invoked legislators to do developing politics keeping commitment towards democracy so that the expectations of the public can be fulfilled along with which the country can be made prosperous.
Mr Gadkari was addressing the Seminar held by the commonwealth parliamentary federation of the Rajasthan branch as the chief guest in the ending session on Monday. The seminar was held in the state assembly on the topic of the parliamentary system and Public expectations.
The central minister said that there is no shortage of money for developing our nation we only need a strong will to do that. To develop a district we have to make a vision and then do the tasks according to it. Taking the example of water and roads he told that we don’t have a shortage of water but we lack planning for it. Understanding the importance of water we should Pay attention to the water in every area. He said that until 50% of the area doesn’t come under irrigation, farmers will not be able to get prosperous. According to the demand-supply of the world, He forced the importance of bringing changes in the crop pattern.
Telling that politics is an effective device for social-economic change Mr Gadkaris said that the meaning of politics is not only authorization but also the welfare of the last person. He said that public service is the chief responsibility of politics and we have entered politics to change the luck of the country. He said that the right meaning of politics in a democracy is too bring welfare in the society so that there can be a qualitative change in the life of people. He said that the strength and goodness of democracy depend on the selected public representatives. Honesty and reliability are Our biggest finance and welfare of the poor should be our object, keeping faith in democracy.
Assembly president and Commonwealth parliamentary federation president doctor CP Joshi said in the starting of a speech that only when our thinking is strong the democracy will be strong. He said to make democracy strong we have to work together. He said that the responsibility of power is to make policies and work for the public whereas the responsibility of the opposition is to make the government pay attention to the problems of the people and find Its solutions.
Doctor Joshi said to make democracy is strong we have to make some harsh decisions. During COVID-19 in the past 18 months, he said showing concern for the education of the children of the state that we need to make policy and work for this. He said that we should work On making new policies keeping in mind the needs and demands of the public. He also said that we also need to think that why voting for a word head and head is more than the voting Percentage of a parliament member or MLA when the money wasted in the latter is more.
On this occasion, the opposition politician of the house Mr Gulab Chand Kataria praises the assembly president for his thinking of making the democracy stronger and said that his selection of the topic and person is definitely a commendable step towards making the democracy is stronger.
