Supply of medicines to government hospitals to be time-bound – medical governance secretary
Jaipur, September 21. Medical governance secretary, Shri Vaibhav Galaria said that there should be no delay in the supply of medicines to hospitals. He said timely medicine supply should be ensured by Rajasthan health services corporation limited in hospitals affiliated to government medical colleges as well as in all government hospitals.
Shri Galaria was chairing a review meeting of Rajasthan health services corporation limited at Swasthya Bhawan on Tuesday. A presentation on the services was also made by RMSCL officials to the medical government secretary.
He said the corporation should also maintain a buffer stock of medicines and other medical equipment in view of the possibility of a possible third wave of covid-19.
Anupama Jorwal, managing director, RMSCL and other officials were also present in the meeting.
RMSCL established in 2011 obtains medicines and other surgical equipment for the department of medical and health as well as Rajasthan medical university. The annual demand is compiled by the logistics section of the corporation. The tender process is edited by the procurement section and the supply of medicines and other medical equipment is ensured by the supply section.
