KGBV school Girls perform Excellently in board examinations, scores 100% in 10th

Jaipur, August 25. The girl students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Schools run by the state government for the girl students of SC, ST, Backward Classes, Minorities and BPL families have set new records in the 10th and 12th board examination results of the session 2020-21.

State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Dr Bhanwar Lal congratulated the girl students of KGBV. He said that despite these girl students coming from underprivileged sections of the society they passed out with 100% result in the 10th board exams and 99.90 per cent girls in the 12th board exams.

In the session, 2020-21, 61.99 per cent of girl students of class 10 of KGBV schools got more than 60 per cent marks. In the last session, in class 12 of KGBV schools, 78.06 per cent in arts and 69.61 per cent in science streams got more than 60 per cent marks.

Similarly, in the commerce section, 100% of the girls got first class. In the session 2020-21, 46.23 per cent of girls of class 12 and 34.84 per cent of girls of 10 of these schools are potential Gargi Award recipients.

It is noteworthy that 316 Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential Schools and hostels are being run from classes 6 to 12 in the educationally backward areas of the state. It is for the girl students coming from the deprived sections of society. In these schools, facilities like food and accommodation, stipend, stationery, items of daily use, library etc. are provided free of cost to the girl students.
