Jaipur, 15th September. Industry minister Mr. Parsadi Laal Meena said in the assembly on Wednesday that to provide more employment to the local youths of the state Rajasthan investment initiative scheme-2019 has been started by the state government.
Mr.Meena was answering supplement questions related to the same asked by the students in the question hour. He told that under the investment initiative scheme if from the total workers employed by the employer more than 75% of the direct employment is provided to the local citizens then the provision of depositing 75% of the amount in the form of worker’s EPF and ISI for a period of 7 years by the employers has been made. Similarly, a grant of 50% will be given if the employer gives 50% employment to local citizens.
At this event, assembly president Dr. CP Joshi said that identifying industry needs and according to that an arrangement of skill training for the local citizens should be made. From this, the entrepreneur will be able to get trained personnel for the industry at the local level only. On this, the industry minister told that from the help of the Indian government a skill center has been started in the Alwar district by the state government.
He guaranteed that attempts will be made of providing trained employees for all the types of industries set up by the investor in the state.
In this, the industry minister firstly wrote an answer to an important question of MLA Mrs. Munj Devi and told that there is no binding provision in the state for giving employment to the local youths in various industries. Employment is made available according to the needed skill and their trend in the local workers and the demand of skilled and unskilled workers by the units. On the vision of making available employment for domicile youths of Rajasthan by preference, in industry initiative scheme 2019 which is effective till 30.03.2026, there is a provision of employment creation grant for deserving industries of manufacturing and service department.
Industry minister told that there is a provision of depositing 50% of the amount that has been deposited in the form of EPF and ISI of the workers by the employers in the form of a grant for 7 years but if from the total workers more than 75% of employment is given to the domiciled citizens of the state then the provision is of depositing 75% of the amount that has been deposited in the form of EPF and ISI of the workers by the employers in the form of a grant for 7 years.
He told that employment for the Ambuja cement plant located in the district Nagaur is made available for local workers according to the skills and trends required and according to the demand of skilled and unskilled workers by the mundawa. There is no binding provision in the state for providing employment to the local workers in the various industries of the state.
