Jaipur: All the meat shops and slaughterhouses will remain closed on Paryushana Parv, Samvatsari, and Anant Chaturdashi in the state.
Director of local self-government department Deepak Nandi informed that the meat shops and slaughterhouses will remain closed on Paryushana Parv on August 22, Samvatsari on August 23 and Anant Chaturdashi on September 1.
Gopalan minister Pramod Jain Bhaya had requested the department for close meat shops and slaughterhouses
The demand was raised by the Jain community people and Gopalan minister Pramod Jain Bhaya had requested the department for the same by writing a letter recently.
In the letter, Bhaya had said that the community people have expressed their desire and requested that the meat shops and slaughterhouses should be closed on these days.
Bhaya, said that Bhado is a significant time period for the Jain community. these occasions have special religious importance therefore it should remain closed.
