Polling teams will leave for the first phase on Wednesday; all preparations are complete. Voting for 163 Panchayat Samiti members and 18 Zilla Parishad members are to be on Thursday.
Jaipur, August 24. District Election Officer (Panchayat) and District Collector Antar Singh Nehra informed that Kotputli, Pawta, Shahpura, Biratnagar, Jalsu, Amer, and Jhotwara Panchayat Samitis would vote in the first phase of Panchayati Raj Institutions General Election 2021 to be held on August 26. Polling teams for 1024 polling stations will leave from Shri Bhavani Niketan Educational Institute on Sikar Road to their destination on Wednesday.
Shri Nehra informed that all necessary preparations for the departure of the polling parties had been completed. All other preparations have been made, including the meeting of polling parties, EVMs, strong room, training of polling parties and vehicle arrangements. Other necessary materials will be provided to the parties. For the first phase, the polling teams will leave for their destination in three shifts. More than 8 lakh 11 thousand voters of 214-gram panchayats will exercise their right to vote in this phase.
