Jaipur: The State Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (SDRI) has detected tax and royalty evasion by a firm engaged in Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor under Bharatmala Project.
The SDRI conducted surprise inspection at Ladnu in Nagaur and Kilchu Devdan in Bikaner and detected several financial irregularities by Raj Shyama Construction Company of Uttar Pradesh.
The investigation has revealed several irregularities related to evasion of royalty of minerals and tax of vehicles engaged in the project.
“Illegal quantities of three minerals have been used in the project for which the company did not pay royalty.
A royalty and penalty amount of Rs. 2.5 crore will be recovered from the company,” an SDRI official said.
