Jaipur, 26 Aug. Dr Samit Sharma who is the Government Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, was handed a poster of Senior Citizen Helpline by Rajeev Dubey. He is representative of JK Laxmipat University, Jaipur and Rajasthan Project Head, in his room at the Secretariat on Thursday.
Dr Sharma said that with this, senior citizens will be able to get help in disaster and government and legal advice sitting at home. He pointed out the need for wide publicity of the Alderline. Along with this, how senior citizens can get help sitting at home through Alderline was also discussed.
It is worth mentioning that JK Lakshmipat University and Samarth Eldercare are partner organizations in Rajasthan for the helpline. A poster of Elderline Toll-Free Number 14567, initiated on the initiative of the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Government of Rajasthan, has been released.
