Jaipur, 29 August. Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra has called upon scholars to play a meaningful role in the upliftment of the nation and society while preserving the vibrant values of culture. He said that we have to take a pledge for the development of the entire society. This can be achieved by leaving behind ethnicity, regionalism, and narrow mentality and removing the social evils.
Governor Mr Mishra addressed the Vidvat Samaj Sammelan and felicitation function organized by Vidvat Samiti, Uttar Pradesh, at Chaudhary Charan Singh Auditorium located at Sahakarita Bhawan, Lucknow, on Sunday. In his address about the role of scholars in the upliftment of Indian culture and society, he said that Indian culture gives the message of uniting the whole world with the mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and gives a person the eternal vision of sublime life values.
He said that culture constantly improves the person and makes him cultured, which motivates him to work not only for himself but for all.
Governor Shri Mishra said that he does not see Brahmins in the limited sense of any society and community but as an integral part of the vast Indian culture. He said that Brahmins are the vast community of the country associated with scholars. This community has always done the work of providing a positive direction to life while nurturing the roots of Indian culture.
Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey was there. He said that the role of scholars is important in the upliftment of Indian culture and society. Their work and behaviour should reflect the high ideals of Sanatan life values.
Union Minister of State for Home Shri Ajay Mishra also expressed his views on the function.
UPCLDF Chairman Shri Virendra Kumar Tiwari threw light on the aspects related to the culture and constitutional values of the personality of Governor Shri Mishra.
In the program, Governor Shri Mishra made the attendees read about the objectives and fundamental duties of the Constitution. The scholars who made remarkable contributions in various fields were also honoured on this occasion. A large number of enlightened people, including the Mahant of Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya, Shri Rajudas Ji Maharaj, senior social worker Shri Vinay Kumar Mishra, were present in the ceremony.
